Don’t think the Oakland ball club did not made any trade for keeping their 2012 playoffs hope alive. Off course, Billy Beane did not move any guy. Because this Oakland team is winning as a team, each and every night they do. But, yes, Beane made some moves at the deadline. Which one? He kept Bartolo Colon, Seth Smith, Johnny Gomes, Brandon McCarthy and Coco Crisp. I think, somehow in April, he was thinking ''those guys will be money trade in late july''. But with the A’s leading the A.L. Wildcard race, he surely changed is mind. So it’s look like, at the deadline, Billy Beane acquired (by keeping them) veteran pitchers Colon and McCarthy and veteran fielders Crisp-Gomes and Smith. Keeping this ball team together, and hopefully, trying to keep this ball team winning. Sometime, the better moves are ''not moving''...
